Young Adulthood Through Midlife: Gradual but Real Changes
In early adulthood (roughly ages 18–25), the brain still completes a great deal of slow-wave sleep — the deepest, most physically restorative phase. Through the 30s and 40s, slow-wave sleep begins a gradual natural decline.
